In class we created notes from questions. Those questions are attached. We then practiced naming and sketching lines, segments, rays and angles for warm-up (attached below with answers).
A grade was taken over HW #5 from pp 28-29 and 37 (4 pts). Answers were shown, questions asked. We looked at our Geometric Truth so far and anticipated the next 3-4 terms. Define in GT with good sketches from pp 34-35: protractor, congruent angles, angle bisector. Copy and label good sketches from the textbook.
We practiced measuring segments and angles. We used graph paper and sketches to derive the midpoint formula for a segment: If the endpoints are two points (x,y), then the midpoint of the segment is (x+x)/2, (y+y/2).
HW #6: In addition to defining the terms above: p 29: 19-20, 23-24, 27, p 32: 1-4, p 39: 31,33,34,36.
Students also got to see their reasoning assessments. All students have finished theirs. Those taken on the day of the assessment have all been posted.
