Construction quiz was taken in class today for 22 pts. It must be made up quickly if you missed the day before. I have a junior advisory and will not be available during A&E on Thurs. Lunchtime would be good. Let me know when you will take it.
We started with a "speed construction" warm-up. Students self-checked their worksheet, got a 5 pt grade on HW #15, and then shared good constructions from the warm-up. We went over the textbook part of HW #15 and had questions answered over the worksheet. There were lots of questions about the difference between median and altitude. CHECK YOUR DEFINITIONS AND SKETCHES IN YOUR GEOMETRIC TRUTH!
Also, you cannot "eyeball" a right angle. It must be constructed. Continue to use mathopenref (there is a link under "resources" tab for Pre-AP Geometry.
There was a handout before the quiz: it is an investigation over points of concurrency that leads you to some definitions and conjectures to write up from the book. Then there is a 7 problem homework at the bottom of the handout.
