Today in class we quizzed over the basics of the building blocks of geometry, a 40 pt "big quiz". These will be graded by the next block meeting. We are continuing with the same ideas about defining, sketching, labeling, naming and applying algebra to definitions as we work through parallel lines and transversals for the next three blocks. There will be a quiz over angles formed when a transversal crosses two or more lines. This quiz will probably be Sept 17-18, followed by a large unit assessment two blocks later.
Our class time today before the quiz was devoted to bringing all the skills for the unit together in preparation for the quiz. There was no new content. The ONLY HOMEWORK IS TO CATCH UP YOUR GEOMETRIC TRUTH SECTION. A photo of all of those terms is attached below.
In class our warm-up was a review worksheet with some extra sketches on the board. Worksheet attached with answers.
We practiced the classifying of polygons (chart on p 50) and in some classes practiced algebraic application of angle bisector.
IF YOU WERE ABSENT, YOU NEED TO MAKE UP THE QUIZ BEFORE I SEE YOU AGAIN!
