We are winding up our mini-unit over angle pairs, parallel lines and transversals, explaining why.
Don't forget that next Thurs-Fri we are having a major test over the angle pair content as well as vocabulary, sketching, naming, etc from our last mini-unit. Tonight's homework is review over the first part of the unit (attached below... HW #12). There is also a review guide attached. It mentions that you also needs to know all of the topics from the 40 pt quiz over "Building Blocks". (I attached that as well.) You will get quizzes back on Mon-Tues to use to help you study.
Today in class we practiced "jumps" with a parallelogram activity and a "Justify every step" activity, as well as a warm-up problem where we had to explain why two other lines had to be parallel given some information in a sketch.
We took a quiz (24 pts) over angle pairs which must be made up by TUESDAY no excuses.
Compasses you ordered will be available next block. A few are available for purchase for $1.50, or get your own. I have a some to use during class.
The construction unit will actually begin in class on Tuesday-Wednesday before the test. There will be a small assignment using the compass that will be due the block after the test. The test will take about 55 minutes of Wednesday-Thursday class.
The attachment with the review worksheet below also contains a good number of textbook problems. Most of those are T/f or fill-in-the-blank and will go very quickly.
TEST NEXT WED-THURS, Sept 25-26, 90 pts.
