Today was the third day of our unit on parallel lines, transversals, and angle pairs.
We are at a point where students should be able to identify angle pairs by sight, determining if they are congruent or supplementary (or neither if the lines are not parallel).
Students should be able to name the angle pair relationship that allows them to find a missing angle.
Today we did a card sort to work on vocabulary and determine if congruent or supplementary. We also practiced applying algebra to these same situations. Students did two different activities that were turned in.
If you were absent today, you have homework to make up, but you must also make up the two activities that I collected in class. You will need to come in during advisory to do this.
It is important to understand that a lot is happening in class, and that if you miss, you are missing far more than a short homework assignment.
Also, less than half the class had homework completed today, and that homework was not difficult. PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK! It's important!
HW #3 is attached below and due Friday.
There will also be a quiz in class on Friday: find missing angles, name the angle pair relationships, use algebra to solve.
