Today is the first day of a new unit; we used it to practice factoring quadratics like Algebra I and II. If you were absent for band, you need to:
Finish the factoring worksheet handed out in class on the test day.
AND Do the factoring on the worksheet attached below (1-12 only).
A grade will be taken next time over both worksheets together. If you were in class, you have no homework!! (group grade on the 2nd sheet for those of you who were in class).
Next time is important! We are learning to solve trigonometric equations. The Unit Assignment Sheet is attached below. November 5 was Day 1. You can see that the Unit Test will have to be after Thanksgiving.
The section in the book is 5.3. The assignment next time is on the assignment sheet (due Monday, Nov 11).
Solving trig equations will be a lot like solving quadratic equations in Algebra II, ONLY the last step will be about making sense of the trigonometry, which is never just "the answer" (don't you just love it... you have to think every time!).
I posted the tests except for a couple I have not graded yet.
Scroll down if you lost the first factoring sheet; it is in the previous post.
You do not need a printer for the new worksheet, just do the 1st 12 problems in your notebook.
No answers posted. Check in class. (You need to work without the answers and get it right.)
