Today our big goal was to learn to graph sine and cosine functions and their transformations, with and without technology.
We began with a warm-up activity from an old algebra book: interpreting information about a Ferris Wheel ride from a sketch and other data. We then graphed a function that Ms. Bogart wrote to model the same story, students were asked to interpret how the numbers and signs in the function connected to the story.
New seats were assigned, quizzes 4.4 were returned, and a grade was taken over HW #1 - 8 pts. We used the graphing activity from last time as a launch for today's graphing lesson.
Typed notes are attached, as so many left the room. The assignment is at the bottom of the notes pages. I have also attached the graphing practice we did in class.
