Today at the end of class we quizzed over 3.1. If you missed it, you need to make it up during lunch on Friday so that I can return them.
We started class by going over worksheet #2 from 3.1. We focused on how to answer questions without a calculator.
Then we learned how to find the horizontal asymptotes (limits) of the functions with e as a base in the denominator.
After lunch, we took notes and practice the basics of logarithmic vs. exponential expressions, evaluating, graphing the inverse of y = 2^x.
A grade was taken from half of the room over HW 1, 2, &3. Next time I will take a grade on HW #4 (worksheet 3.1 #2 and some from the textbook on exponential growth and decay).
Then we took the quiz 3.1 and worked on HW when we finished.
Students will get their quizzes returned next block. Also the quizzes over 1.9 will be returned.
Let Ms. Bogart know if you see a mistake in Gradebook. Trying to stay caught up.
Next block we will finish up section 3.2 and then on Tuesday, we will quiz 3.2 and start linear function quick review.
There are 3 more quizzes before spring break! 3.2, linear, difference quotient (definition of derivative).
Attached: notes over 3.2. You can check your homework answers in class next time.
