Our big goal for today was PRACTICE: practice applying skills related to both building blocks and angle pairs. A grade was taken over HW #10 if it had not already been done. The new worksheet (HW #11) was not graded because there is an add-on assignment tonight.
The sequence of activities (all attached below):
"Jumps" - two connected parallelograms, getting from angle 1 to angle 10 by a variety of steps. Takeaway: every time you change transversals, you have a step and an angle pair name.
Write the converse of a statement, determine if T/F.
Self-check worksheet. Do a multiple choice page on desk with 6 MC and one open response (very important).
3 multiple choice on screen (helpful for test, attached below).
One other multiple choice page with some algebra. (answers on board).
Find the angle problem on screen (streets and light rail line).
I have added a bit more extra practice below if you want it.
Remember to use your topic lists (attached to previous blog post) to help you study. Spend time in your geometric truth. You will need to determine if a definition is good (just like the first quiz). Study your returned quizzes (returned today).
We stopped and checked and shared and discussed along the way.
HW #11b (also on previous post): p 110: 11,12,14,17,18, p 124: 28,30,32,33-35, p 147: 19-21,23-25.
Review session Tuesday morning at 8 am. Come during advisory Monday (have teacher call) if your last quiz was a mess.
