Today our content was all about the Pythagorean Theorem. Where did it come from. How does it read in words? What would the converse be? What could you use the converse to do? Why are so many answers decimals? What do we call the ones that are not? How do we simplify a radical in order to keep our answer exact? What are the parts of a right triangle called? Why is the side opposite the right angle the longest side?
HW #8: p 470:1-11 (on 1-6, state whether the triangle is right, acute, or obtuse), and p 474:1-14 (show work).
