Today in class we spent some time sharing how to do different problems from the homework, finiding area of isosceles triangles, and simplifying radicals with a square root in the denominator (only for 30-60-90 or 45-45-90 right triangles).

Today we had a quiz over Pythagorean Theorem and its converse, as well as the special right triangle basics and the proof of the Pythagorean Theorem. We did not spend time practicing the proof for the quiz. Studying to be able to do the proof was part of preparation for the quiz from home.

A suggestion: if your notes from class are not helping you, get on Google and search, adding Khan to your search request. You should find a good video quickly.

Today we learned about the distance formula and why it works, and about interpreting and writing an equation of a circle.

The quiz was 22 points.

Unit test is next Thursday-Friday, February 23-24.
