Here's our agenda for Block 17:
We began with definition construction in Geometric Truth of all terms on pp 60-61. Add all of these special quadrilaterals to your geometric truth, along with a good marked sketch from the page. KITE: a quadrilateral with two distinct pairs of consecutive congruent sides.
We went over HW #13 and added problems 11 & 14. Then demonstrations from mathopenref and a geogebra animation convinced us that the sum of one set of exterior angles of a polygon is 360 degrees. This was then proved on the board. This also led to the idea that one exterior angle in an equiangular polygon has a measure of 360/n degrees.
Write up C-31-33 on pp 263, 268, and 269. Get fill-in-the-blank from a neighbor.
HW #14: pp 269-70: 1-10, p 63:2-12.
Most classes have seen their Right Triangle Tests. All of A-day will see theirs during the next block.
Quiz next week on Mon-Tues, March 5-6.
