Our goal for block 3 was to recognize inductive vs deductive argument, state why, and give conjecture and counterexample for inductive. We applied inductive in a sequence with a common difference to write a linear rule. We learned what a conditional statement is and how to find its converse, which may or may not be true.
HW #3 is from textbook but also attached below: p 109:1-6. Copy tables, but not sketches. 3rd period has no HW.
We took a 10 pt quiz to make sure we can determine the type of argument.
The converses that we practiced in most classes is attached below.
Remember that we will have a big quiz on Thurs-Fri this week. You will get topics and a review assignment in class on Tues-Wed. The amount of content on the quiz is quite limited. A reliable fact in Ms. Bogart's class: always be prepared to explain yourself in words.
