Class content is altered between A and B day due to Ms. Bogart being at the Math Task Force meeting on Thurs-Fri.
A day had a big focus on algebra today.
We copied the Venn Diagram for types of quadrilaterals and practiced using it for "always, sometimes, or never".
We did a "fill-in-the-blank" proof of Rhombus Diagonals are perpendicular bisectors of each other. (except in 3rd period).
Then we practiced "proving" type of quadrilateral based on slope, distance, and midpoint given 4 vertices. (attached)
In 1st period, we graphed 6 lines.
We checked and questioned homework (except in 1st period).
Then we spent some time learning and taking notes about writing equations of lines in point/slope form and then changing them to slope/intercept form. Those notes are attached.
The graphing is not attached but will be posted next time.
HW #17 got a 4 pt grade. If you have not yet had your geometric truth checked for a 5 pt grade, have it ready for the next block.
HW #18 (for A day only) is p 212: 1-2,4, 6-11, 13. Write in point/slope; you may change to Slope/Intercept Form.
