Friday Ms. Bogart was not in class; the class time was devoted to a variety of review activities.
A fill-in-the-blank proof of "opposite sides of a parallelogram are congruent" started the block.
Students also did another problem where they were given four vertices to prove type of quadrilateral by slopes, distances, &/or midpoint.
2nd and 3rd period graphed six lines from a variety of equations and checked them.
All classes checked HW #18 for accuracy; 1st period also checked HW #17. HW #18 was checked for completion.
HW #19 was a review handout. Students could work on this for the rest of class. It is attached below.
Also attached are the proof and the slope/distance problem. This same proof and algebra will be done on B day on Monday.
FOR B DAY STUDENTS ON MONDAY, MARCH 12, the class was different:
HW #17 and #18 had 4 pt grades taken on them. Also, grades were taken on Geometric Truth if you had not already had this done (5 pts). HW #18 was different from A day... it is attached to the previous B day blog.
Instead of time to work on the review, we worked through the algebra and proof more quickly. Graphing had been done in the previous block. We took notes and did practice on writing equations of lines in point/slope form. We did parallel, perpendicular, and perpendicular bisector. These notes are attached to last Wednesday's blog for A day.
HW #19 was the same worksheet as A day, but also add p 212:4, 6-7, 10-11, 13.
