Thanks for a great beginning to Pre-AP Geometry! Hope you are getting accustomed to how the class operates. Feel free to e-mail me or send a remind message if you have a question.
Next block, Thurs-Fri, Aug 23-24, is our first big assessment. Topics are attached below. HW #3 (below) is a review. Be sure to study your notes (key words for inductive and deductive, examples, etc.)
During this block, we learned our last new "thing" for this unit: we learned how to find converse, inverse, and contrapositive of a given conditional statement, assessing truth vale of each statement. We learned that the contrapositive is logically equivalent to the original statement; and we learned that converse and inverse are logical equivalents. If you were absent, I will attach a copy of the reading and investigation that we did in class.
We worked a bit more with using inductive reasoning to write a linear rule and find a much larger term in a sequence. We also learned that we only know how to do this if it is linear. So don't spend time trying to write a rule if the sequence does not go up or down by the same amount for each new term.
The review (HW#3) is attached below. Notice that you are not doing every problem, but there are some problems in the textbook.
AND textbooks were handed out today in class and should have been brought home to keep at home.

If you cannot get in, let me know. I have already discovered some missing names from the roster.
