Today we started working on our review for the final.
HW #16 (volume practice) was finished, graded, corrected, etc.
Students then began work on the final review.
Problems 1-11 were handed out in class to work on.
Students were then given problems 12-20. Students will complete all of these problems for homework before the next class. You may use formula sheets.
MANY OF THE PROBLEMS HAVE MORE THAN ONE STEP!! Like use the information to find one volume, then double the height and find a new volume. Find the difference in the two volumes. These questions are not too difficult; it is just that many are tired of school and do not want to have to think too hard. THESE QUESTIONS ARE LIKE THE FINAL!! Students need to be able to do these questions to succeed on the exam.
Students will receive the rest of the review in class on Tuesday.
I will also be giving a short volume quiz at the beginning of class on Tuesday, after which student will receive the rest of the review, see their grades, get all papers returned, and work on and check their reviews.
The final is Thursday in class. It is only over circles, area, surface area, and volume. If you can do the review, you can do the test. It will have multiple choice, matching, and two open response questions. It is 20% of your grade.
Review attached below. SHOW WORK on each question!
