Today's block was all about surface area. We did a warm-up that required figureing paint and roofing costs for a barn from two sketches. Students had to look at both sketches to get all of the information that they needed.
A grade was taken over p 450:1-6 for 4 pts. Also, HW #13 over area was collected from anyone who did not have it done at the end of class last time but finished for today.
HW #15 is another set of problems over surface area. Please continue to use the formula sheet that was handed out (or attached in the next blog below). The formula sheet will be available on the final.
Students got to see their circle quizzes from the last class. These are especially helpful in preparing for the final exam.
Our next class is all about volume of solids. We will continue to use the formula sheet and practice problems that will prepare us for the final exam.
The final is next Thursday, May 25 during Zero hour. It will have about 40 multiple choice and 2 open response questions.
A review assignment will be given out next class that should help with preparation.
