We are headed into the last nine weeks of school! Standardized tests are coming soon (April 20 for Math). We have more than half of the points for the semester recorded. Time to get serious about school!
If you missed the quiz before spring break, come Tuesday during advisory to take it. Only chance.
Today we tried to recapture the content that we quizzed before spring break, practicing it from a set of notes (attached below). We used questions out of the Discovering Geometry textbook for practice, with no homework.
The only new content was to find a missing angle in a right triangle, given two side lengths (working backwards, finding the inverse). We also made sure that everyone knew how to use the calculator to find trig ratios, showing an example of how the answer from the calculator matches a story to make sense of the number coming from the calculator.
Test will probably be Friday next week (April 8)
