Today we learned the names of the ratios used for side relationships given an angle of a right triangle.
Sine - opposite side/ hypotenuse
Cosine - adjacent side/ hypotenuse
Tangent - opposite side/ adjacent side
We practiced applying everything we have learned to date since the last quiz.
Then we took a short quiz (15 pts) over what we have learned since the last one: name the sides of a right triangle in location to a given acute angle; give the ratio if side lengths are written, find a missing side of a right triangle if you know one side and the angle (very basic with step by step instructions).
And learn the acronym: SOH - CAH - TOA
More of this to come after spring break.
And of course, no homework!
