Make-up issues for last week. HW #8 on desk to check/ correct.
We went through HW #8 to make sure everyone knew when to apply the formula 180(n-2) and 180(n-2)/n. We practiced a but of this. The goal was to find the sum of the angles in a polygon based on its sides 180(n-2) with n sides. OR to find the measure of one angle in a regular polygon (divide answer by n sides).
We then did an investigation together in class about the diagonals of parallelograms, rectangles, rhombuses, and squares. Results are attached below. Then we did a few simple problems that applied these properties.
Students spent the rest of class working on a Unit Review assignment that will prepare them for the test. We will do part of the test in the last part of class on Friday. The Slope/Distance part of the test will be done in class the following Tuesday, and then we will start our last unit: measurement and circles.
The first part of class on Friday will be spent going over the review and having a review game activity. PLEASE DO YOUR REVIEW! Use your flowchart, your Parallelogram investigation with highlighted properties, your homework, your diagonal investigation today, your polygon investigation from last Thursday.
